Steve Mura
[edit] Biography
Born on February 12, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Steve Mura (Stephen Andrew Mura) played for the San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago White Sox and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 7 year career. Mura broke into the bigs on September 5, 1978 with the San Diego Padres, and put up a 3.08 ERA in 73 innings pitched in 1979, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Steve Mura's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1982, when he posted a 4.05 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 84 batters. However, others believe that it was 1980, when he posted a 3.68 ERA and struck out 109 batters.
