Steve Hamas (Steven V. Hamas) was born on January 9, 1907 in Passaic, New Jersey. After going to high school at Henry P. Becton (East Rutherford, NJ), Hamas attended Pennsylvania State University. Hamas made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Orange Tornadoes. He played for the Orange Tornadoes for his entire 1 year career.
