Born on September 29, 1949 in Burbank, California, Steve Busby (Steven Lee Busby) played for the Kansas City Royals for his entire 8 year career. Busby broke into the bigs on September 8, 1972 with the Kansas City Royals, and put up a 4.23 ERA in 238.1 innings pitched in 1973, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Steve Busby's best season was 1974, when he posted a 3.39 ERA, won 22 games and struck out 198 batters.
