Born on September 8, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri, Steve Barr (Steven Charles Barr) played for the Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers over the course of his 3 year career. Barr broke into the bigs on October 1, 1974 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 5.59 ERA in 67.2 innings pitched in 1976, his rookie year.
