Stanley Cup
The Stanley Cup is the biggest championship in the National Hockey League. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are held every year in a sixteen-team tournament, eight from the Western conference and eight from the Eastern conference.
The Stanley Cup itself is notable in that it is the only unique championship trophy in all major North American sports (meaning there is not one made every year, such as the Vince Lombardi or World Series trophies). Also, each player on the winning team gets to keep the Cup for a day.
