Born on May 31, 1896 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Socks Seibold (Harry Seibold) played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Boston Braves over the course of his 9 year career. Seibold broke into the bigs on September 18, 1915 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.94 ERA in 160 innings pitched in 1917, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Socks Seibold's best season was 1930, when he posted a 4.12 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 70 batters.
