Slats Jordan (Clarence Veasey Jordan) was born on September 27, 1878 in Baltimore, Maryland. He made his Major League debut on September 28, 1901 for the Baltimore Orioles. Jordan played for the Baltimore Orioles for his entire 2 year career.

Slats Jordan was a Spanish American War veteran. He had two sips of coffee with the old Baltimore Orioles in 1901 and 1902 as a first baseman and as an outfielder, respectively. However, Jordan was never more than a substitute (he played in 1 game in 1902). He died at age 74 and is buried at Loudon Park National Cemetery in Baltimore MD.
