Shawn Mccarthy (Shawn Michael McCarthy) was born on February 22, 1968 in Fremont, Ohio. After going to high school at Ross (Fremont, OH), Mccarthy attended Purdue University. Mccarthy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1991 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1991 was Shawn Mccarthy's best year, as he dropped 17 punts inside the 20 and had a 40.2 yard punt average.
