Born on July 27, 1955 in Racine, Wisconsin, Shane Rawley (Shane William Rawley) played for the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 12 year career. Rawley broke into the bigs on April 6, 1978 with the Seattle Mariners, and put up a 4.12 ERA in 111.1 innings pitched in 1978, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Shane Rawley's best season was 1987, when he posted a 4.39 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 123 batters.
