Sammie Taylor (Sammie Taylor) was born on April 23, 1940 in Houston, Texas. After going to high school at Jack Yates (Houston, TX), Taylor attended Grambling State University. Taylor made his professional debut in the AFL in 1965 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 1 year career.
