Sam Wyche (Samuel David Wyche) was born on January 5, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia. After going to high school at North Fulton (Atlanta, GA), Wyche attended Furman University. Wyche made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals the entire time. Wyche also played in the NFL for 5 years, playing for the Washington Redskins, St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals over the course of his 5 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1969 was Sam Wyche's best year.
