Sam Salemi (Samuel Salemi) was born on August 7, 1903. After going to high school at New Utrecht (Brooklyn, NY), Salemi attended Canisius College, Columbia University and St. John's University. Salemi made his professional debut in the NFL in 1928 with the New York Yankees. He played for the New York Yankees for his entire 1 year career.
