Sam Mills (Samuel Davis Mills) was born on June 3, 1959 in Neptune, New Jersey. After going to high school at Long Branch (NJ), Mills attended Montclair State University. Mills made his professional debut in the NFL in 1986 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers over the course of his 12 year career.
Most people believe that 1995 was Sam Mills's best year, as he picked off 5 passes, ran back an interception for a touchdown and recovered 4 opponents fumbles.
