Sam Longmire (Samuel Robert Longmire) was born on January 3, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama. After going to high school at Alliance (OH), Longmire attended Purdue University. Longmire made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs for his entire 2 year career.
