Sam Babcock (Samuel Lyle Babcock) was born on November 5, 1901 in Gray, Iowa. After going to high school at Suffield Academy (Suffield, CT), Babcock attended Syracuse University. Babcock made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Canton Bulldogs. He played for the Canton Bulldogs for his entire 1 year career.
