Russell Gary (Russell Craig Gary) was born on July 31, 1959 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After going to high school at Central (Minneapolis, MN), Gary attended the University of Nebraska. Gary made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1982 was Russell Gary's best year.
