Russ Snyder (Russell Henry Snyder) was born on June 22, 1934 in Oak, Nebraska. He made his Major League debut on April 18, 1959 for the Kansas City Athletics. In 1959, his rookie year, he hit .313 with 3 home runs and 21 RBI. Snyder played for the Kansas City Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Russ Snyder's best season was 1962, when he hit for a .305 average.
