Russ Hathaway (Russell Grant Hathaway) was born on January 14, 1896 in Terre Haute, Indiana. After going to high school at Dugger (IN) and Linton (IN), Hathaway attended Indiana University. Hathaway made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Muncie Flyers. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Muncie Flyers and Dayton Triangles over the course of his 2 year APFA career.Hathaway also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the Dayton Triangles, Pottsville Maroons and Buffalo Bisons over the course of his 6 year NFL career.
