Rufe DeWitz (Rufus Elbeno DeWitz) was born on June 9, 1900 in Stanton, Nebraska. After going to high school at Stanton (NE), DeWitz attended the University of Nebraska. DeWitz made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Kansas City Cowboys. He played for the Kansas City Cowboys for his entire 1 year career.
