Rube Oldring (Reuben Henry Oldring) was born on May 30, 1884 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on October 2, 1905 for the New York Highlanders. In 1906, his rookie year, he hit .241 with 0 home runs and 19 RBI. Oldring played for the New York Highlanders, Philadelphia Athletics and New York Yankees over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Rube Oldring's best season was 1913, when he stole 40 bases, hit for a .283 average and knocked in 71 runs.
