Roy To Be Inducted Into Hall Of Fame On Monday

Roy is now a Hall of Famer

Former Colorado Avalanche goaltender Patrick Roy will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto on Monday November 13).

As a member of the Colorado Avalanche, Roy earned two Stanley Cups titles.

Roy told the media, 'I'm very fortunate to receive this honour. It brings you back to thinking about your career and the great teammates and tremendous support I have received from my family over the years

He deserves to be there. As a Wings fan, I think he has been a great player. He did underperform HUGELY against the Red Wings. The one where he (thought he) caught the puck and as he show-boated, Shanahan tipped it into the net... Pure hilarity.

Or better yet, when he tried handling the puck behind the net in the cup against the Devils blowing the game?! But, all kidding aside, he's definitely one of the best goaltenders the NHL has seen; I just wouldn't brag about his out of net puck handling skills, which is definitely one of Brodeur's many polished skills.
