Roy Ratekin (Ralph Roy Ratekin) was born on September 24, 1899 in Surface Creek, Colorado. After going to high school at Delta (CO), Ratekin attended Colorado State University. Ratekin made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Akron Pros. He played for the Akron Pros for his entire 1 year career.
