Born on April 19, 1885 in Belton, Texas, Roy Mitchell (Albert Roy Mitchell) played for the St. Louis Browns, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 7 year career. Mitchell broke into the bigs on September 10, 1910 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 2.60 ERA in 52 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Roy Mitchell's best season was 1913, when he posted a 3.01 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 59 batters.
