Roy Lechthaler (Melvin Roy Lechthaler) was born on April 1, 1908 in , PA. After going to high school at Mercersburg Academy (Mercersburg, PA), Lechthaler attended Lebanon Valley College. Lechthaler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
