Roy Cullenbine (Roy Joseph Cullenbine) was born on October 18, 1913 in Nashville, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1938 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1939, his rookie year, he hit .240 with 6 home runs and 23 RBI. Cullenbine played for the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Browns, Brooklyn Dodgers, Washington Senators, New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 10 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Roy Cullenbine's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1944, when he slugged 16 home runs, hit for a .284 average and knocked in 80 runs. However, others believe that it was 1941, when he hit for a .317 average and knocked in 98 runs.
