Ron Oester (Ronald John Oester) was born on May 5, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 10, 1978 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1980, his rookie year, he hit .277 with 2 home runs and 20 RBI. Oester played for the Cincinnati Reds for his entire 13 year career.

Most people believe that Ron Oester's best season was 1983, when he knocked in 58 runs.
