Ron Cey
[edit] Biography
Ron Cey (Ronald Charles Cey) was born on February 15, 1948 in Tacoma, Washington. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 1971 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 1973, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 15 home runs and 80 RBI. Cey played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 16 year career.
There is some disagreement on what was Ron Cey's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1977, when he slugged 30 home runs and knocked in 110 runs. However, others believe that it was 1975, when he slugged 25 home runs, hit for a .283 average and knocked in 101 runs.
