Robinson Cano (Robinson Jose (Mercedes) Cano) was born on October 22, 1982 in San Pedro de Macoris, Macoris (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on May 3, 2005 for the New York Yankees. In 2005, his rookie year, he hit .297 with 14 home runs and 62 RBI. Cano played for the New York Yankees for his entire 2 year career.

- His father, Jose Cano, played for the Houston Astros.
