Bob Sadowski (Robert Frank Sadowski) was born on January 15, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on September 16, 1960 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1962, his rookie year, he hit .231 with 6 home runs and 24 RBI. Sadowski played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels over the course of his 4 year career.

- Traded by Philadelphia Phillies with Taylor Phillips to Chicago White Sox in exchange for Andy Carey and Frank Barnes (December 15, 1961); Andy Carey refused to report to Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Phillies sent Lou Vassie and Chicago White Sox sent Cal McLish (March 24, 1962) to complete trade.
