Rip Kyle (James William Kyle, Jr.) was born on August 20, 1899 in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Mifflintown (PA), Kyle attended Gettysburg College. Kyle made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Canton Bulldogs. He played for the Canton Bulldogs for his entire 2 year career.
