In 1982, Henderson shattered Lou Brock's modern major league record by stealing 130 bases, a total which has not been approached since. (Three years later, Vince Coleman stole 110 bases.) During the 1982 season, Henderson had an astounding 84 stolen bases at the All-Star break -- 21 more than any other player in history.
