Rick Sawyer

Born on April 7, 1948 in Bakersfield, California, Rick Sawyer (Richard Clyde Sawyer) played for the New York Yankees and San Diego Padres over the course of his 4 year career. Sawyer broke into the bigs on April 28, 1974 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 2.53 ERA in 81.2 innings pitched in 1976, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Rick Sawyer's best season was 1976, when he posted a 2.53 ERA.
