Born on May 1, 1950 in Palo Alto, California, Rich Troedson (Richard LaMonte Troedson) played for the San Diego Padres for his entire 2 year career. Troedson broke into the bigs on April 9, 1973 with the San Diego Padres, and put up a 4.25 ERA in 152.1 innings pitched in 1973, his rookie year.
