Rich Folkers

Born on October 17, 1946 in Waterloo, Iowa, Rich Folkers (Richard Nevin Folkers) played for the New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 7 year career. Folkers broke into the bigs on June 10, 1970 with the New York Mets, and put up a 3.61 ERA in 82.1 innings pitched in 1973, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Rich Folkers's best season was 1974, when he posted a 3.00 ERA and struck out 57 batters.
