Rich Caster (Richard C. Caster) was born on October 16, 1948 in Mobile, Alabama. After going to high school at Williamson (Mobile, AL), Caster attended Jackson State University. Caster made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets, Houston Oilers and Washington Redskins over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that 1972 was Rich Caster's best year, as he hauled in 39 receptions, had 833 receiving yards and caught 10 TD passes.
