Born on June 2, 1970 in Thomasville, Alabama, Reid Cornelius (Jonathan Reid Cornelius) played for the New York Mets, Montreal Expos and Florida Marlins over the course of his 3 year career. Cornelius broke into the bigs on April 29, 1995 with the New York Mets, and put up a 5.53 ERA in 66.2 innings pitched in 1995, his rookie year.
