Reed Nilsen (Reed Elfin Nilsen) was born on January 31, 1921 in Provo, Utah. Nilsen attended Brigham Young University. Nilsen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
