Redskins trade FA bust Archuleta to Bears

As reported by ESPN.com, The Washington Redskins agreed to trade safety Adam Archuleta to the Chicago Bears for what is reported to be a 6th round draft pick in this year's draft.

Archuleta used to be pretty good before he joined Washington.

In other news, the apocalypse happened because the Redskins received a draft pick in a trade instead of giving one away. Maybe they read the 'Chair and my blasting of the Redskins "front office" a few weeks ago.

I'm surprised the Bears did not trade their 1st rd pick for Archuleta (after the Jones trade, you just never know)!

I don't know much about the guy, but he seems to have thrived under Lovie in St. Louis. Could be a steal for the Bears. Not if they could just get another linebacker to replace Briggs, if neccesary.

For a 6th round pick, this is an absolute steal for the Bears. I had wanted them to address Safety early on in the draft, and I still think they should to develop a young replacement for Archuleta in 2-3 yrs.

The only person stealing here is Archuleta. He is a Lovie Smith guy and thats who he made his name with in STL. He wanted to play for the Bears last year, but the Skins threw way too much money at him for any smart man to turn down. Now he got paid for a year, and he still gets to go and play for the coach he wanted.

After the Thomas Jones to the Jets Fleecing, the Bears needed to win a trade.....but the Jets Trade still keeps da Bears in da red.

I don't think Archuleta is as much a "bust" as the Redskins are dunderheads for signing the guy and then playing him out of his natural position.
