Red Treadway (Thadford Leon Treadway) was born on April 28, 1920 in Athalone, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on July 25, 1944 for the New York Giants. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .300 with 0 home runs and 5 RBI. Treadway played for the New York Giants for his entire 2 year career.
