Born on August 11, 1893 in Georgetown, Florida, Red Causey (Cecil Algerton Causey) played for the New York Giants, Boston Braves and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 5 year career. Causey broke into the bigs on April 26, 1918 with the New York Giants, and put up a 2.79 ERA in 158.1 innings pitched in 1918, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Red Causey's best season was 1918, when he posted a 2.79 ERA and won 11 games.
