Recap Bundesliga Day 1

Bayern Munich won 2-0 against Borussia Dortmund. Roy Makaay (24. min) and Bastian Schweinsteiger (55. min) got the goals with flat shots in the corners. Both teams hit several times the posts. Dortmund had some good chances at the end of the game, but Munichs keeper Oliver Kahn made specacular saves. He played his 500. Game in Bundesliga on Friday.

The Hamburger SV played 1-1 versus Arminia Bielefeld. Eigler (32. min) brought Bielefeld with his first Bundesliga goal in front. It was the end of a wonderfull comibination over several players. Sanogo (67. min) saved the favourite in this game with a header, wich tied the game 1-1. Hamburg gave away many chances.

VfL Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin played 0-0. Both teams played a poor game without many chances. Wolfsburgs Keeper Simon Jentsch prevent his team with good saves.

Bayer Leverkusen won 3-0 against Alemannia Aachen. Ramelow (32. min), Castro (45. min) and Rolfes (60. min) shot the goals against the underdog. Aachens chances sunk in the 22. minute when they lost their keeper Nicht, because of a red card. He played the ball with his hands outside the penalty area. Leverkusen got also a red card for midfielder Babic. He got his for an hit against his oponent.

VfB Stuttgart lost 0-3 against 1. FC Nurnberg. Vittek (37. min), Schroth (45. min) and Saenko (78. min) shot the goals. The first two were headers. The best player was Banovic, who got assits to all three goals. The hometeam looked flat and got only some chances.

1. FSV Mainz 05 won 2-1 against VfL Bochum. Mainz got Goals through Damm (29. min) and a penalty from Azaouagh (71. min). Zdebels (86. min) freekick was too late and too little for Bochum. Both teams passed many chances.

Borussia Monchengladbach won 2-0 against Energie Cottbus. Svenssons (51. min) header and Neuvilles (60. min) penalty were responisble for the goals. Cottbus missed several chances in the first half and lost Aidoo to a red card after a second yellow.

Schalke 04 played 1-1 versus Eintracht Frankfurt. Altintops (30. min) goal brought Schalke in front. They left several other chances without score, like Lincolns missed penlaty. So tied Frankfurt the game through Amanatidis (71. min) header in the second half. It was a lucky point for the away team.

Hannover 96 lost 2-4 to Werder Bremen. Diego (20. min) shot Bremen in front, but the hometeam turned the game through goals from Stajner (40. min) and Hashemian (67. min). But Bremen got a late comeback win with three goals in the last eleven minutes. Hugo Almeida (79. min) tied it with an header. Klose (85. min) and Jensen (90. min) brought Werder in front after two assists from Diego. Borowski missed a penalty in the first half for Bremen.

Bochum will be Damm annoyed with their result... If you haven't already, you might want to put these results in the German section of the Soccer part of the wiki.
