Raymond Chester (Raymond Thomas Chester) was born on June 28, 1948 in Cambridge, Maryland. After going to high school at Douglass (Baltimore, MD), Chester attended Morgan State University. Chester made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Colts over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that 1979 was Raymond Chester's best year, as he hauled in 58 receptions, had 712 receiving yards and caught 8 TD passes.
