Born on December 30, 1906 in Salitpa, Alabama, Ray Prim (Raymond Lee Prim) played for the Washington Senators, Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 6 year career. Prim broke into the bigs on September 24, 1933 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 5.77 ERA in 73.1 innings pitched in 1935, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ray Prim's best season was 1945, when he posted a 2.40 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 88 batters.
