Ray Mack (Raymond James Mack) was born on August 31, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1938 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1940, his rookie year, he hit .283 with 12 home runs and 69 RBI. Mack played for the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Ray Mack's best season was 1940, when he hit for a .283 average and knocked in 69 runs.
