Ray Lamanno (Raymond Simond Lamanno) was born on November 17, 1919 in Oakland, California. He made his Major League debut on September 11, 1941 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 12 home runs and 43 RBI. Lamanno played for the Cincinnati Reds for his entire 5 year career.

Most people believe that Ray Lamanno's best season was 1947, when he knocked in 50 runs.
