Born on July 21, 1893 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Ray Keating (Raymond Herbert Keating) played for the New York Highlanders, New York Yankees and Boston Braves over the course of his 7 year career. Keating broke into the bigs on September 12, 1912 with the New York Highlanders, and put up a 3.21 ERA in 151.1 innings pitched in 1913, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ray Keating's best season was 1914, when he posted a 2.96 ERA and struck out 109 batters.
