Ray Hanson (Raymond W. Hanson) was born on July 16, 1893 in London, Ohio. After going to high school at London (OH), Hanson attended Ohio State University and Ohio Wesleyan University. Hanson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1923 with the Columbus Tigers. He played for the Columbus Tigers for his entire 1 year career.
