Ray Fosse (Raymond Earl Fosse) was born on April 4, 1947 in Marion, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 8, 1967 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1970, his rookie year, he hit .307 with 18 home runs and 61 RBI. Fosse played for the Cleveland Indians, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Ray Fosse's best season was 1970, when he slugged 18 home runs, hit for a .307 average and knocked in 61 runs.
