Ray Fontenot

Born on August 8, 1957 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ray Fontenot (Silton Ray Fontenot) played for the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 4 year career. Fontenot broke into the bigs on June 30, 1983 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 3.33 ERA in 97.1 innings pitched in 1983, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Ray Fontenot's best season was 1984, when he posted a 3.61 ERA and struck out 85 batters.
