Born on April 15, 1949 in Miami, Florida, Ray Bare (Raymond Douglas Bare) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 5 year career. Bare broke into the bigs on July 30, 1972 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 4.48 ERA in 150.2 innings pitched in 1975, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ray Bare's best season was 1975, when he posted a 4.48 ERA and struck out 71 batters.
